The County Library “Alexandru și Aristia Aman”, through the American Corner Craiova section, launches during March-May 2026 the educational project “Made in the USA: Ideas that Changed the World”, dedicated to students in grades V-XII.
The program aims to bring to the attention of young people significant contributions of American society to global development, in an
interactive framework adapted to the needs of current generations. The activities will encourage dialogue, reflection, and the discovery of relevant landmarks from American culture and space, providing a broad perspective on the impact of ideas that have shaped the contemporary world.
The workshops will be facilitated by Mrs. Narcisa Duncă, journalist, reporter and producer at TeleU, UZPR member, who, together with our colleague Mădălina Băileșteanu, will coordinate the meetings in a dynamic format accessible to young audiences.
The number of workshops is limited, and participation is exclusively by appointment, either directly at the headquarters of the County Library “Alexandru și Aristia Aman” – American Corner Craiova section, str. Mihai Kogălniceanu, nr. 9, or by phone at 0251 522 393.
The project is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest and the U.S. Department of State, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the American Spaces network in Romania, marking two decades of educational dialogue and cultural cooperation.
