The „Alexandru and Aristia Aman” County Library hosts on Friday, December 5, the launch of the volume „The Crime at the Iodine Basin”, a book authored by Maria-Liliana Bucur.
Speakers about the book will be Nicolae Marinescu, director of Aius Publishing House, conf. univ. dr. Dana Constantinescu, Mihaela Nitu and Mara-Miruna Ciobanu.
„I was born in 1968 in Bucharest, but primary school I did
in a Dolj commune, Bîrca, where everyone knows everyone, and mysteries are solved on the street corner. Vacations I spent at my grandparents, near Bucharest, at Cabana Căldărușani, where I learned that silence can hide the most interesting stories. I am a university professor and I teach mathematics, but, between two theorems, I have always been fascinated by literature and its enigmas. If mathematics taught me to ask questions and seek solutions, literature taught me to go beyond logic. The event will take place starting at 5:00 PM, in the „Acad. Dinu C. Giurescu” Hall of the Aman County Library.
