The County Library “Alexandru and Aristia Aman” hosts on Friday, November 28, the launch of the volume “Cafe Stories” / “Verses with a coffee aroma”, a volume whose authors are: Amalia Botescu, Cornelia Georgescu, Rodica Ion, Dragoș Florinel‑Marogel, Anca Moldoveanu, Leliana Mihaela‑Rădulescu.
Guests at the event are representatives of Cristian PlusArt publishing house, as well as artists: Teodora and Tiberiu‑Stelian Dumitru, Isabela Ivan, Camelia Rogojinaru.
A volume with “two faces”, one on one side, the other on the opposite side of the book, one visible, one hidden, “Verses with a coffee aroma / Cafe Stories” – a title chosen by the participants of this truly unique anthology – represents more than a collection of texts and poems. It is also a review of the first year of existence of the Cristian PlusArt Literary Café, a celebration of the community that has formed around this idea, confirming that literature needs living spaces where it can be read and shared, and people willing to receive it and carry it forward.
“Verses with a coffee aroma/Cafe Stories contains surprisingly successful works, especially since they come from a place where, practically, everything that was written has been read and from everything that was written: phone, laptop, already published books, cheat sheets, notebooks, even napkins. Moreover, it is a unique opportunity to meet authors who, in the future, will be sought after in bookstores, thanks to their emergence as highly successful poets or writers.
Reader, you therefore hold in your hands not only an anthology but also an invitation to continue the journey with us, to rediscover through prose and poetry the power of the word to unite and ennoble.” – Cristian Dumitru, director of Cristian PlusArt Publishing.
The event will take place starting at 5:00 PM, in the “Acad. Dinu C. Giurescu” hall of the Aman County Library.
