The County Library “Alexandru and Aristia Aman”, through the Media Library section, organizes on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, starting at 12:00, a new activity dedicated to students – the CineBook program.
The CineBook program is designed for students in grades V–XII and aims to familiarize them with the major literary works in the National Evaluation and Baccalaureate curriculum through film adaptations. The activity combines reading with the cinematic image, offering young people a modern and attractive perspective on the studied texts.
At this edition’s meeting, students from the XI grade of the National Economic College “Gheorghe Chițu” participate, coordinated by Professor Dorina Mănescu. Young people will watch the film adaptation of “The Last Night of Love, the First Night of War”, by Camil Petrescu, one of the most representative creations of Romanian interwar literature.
The CineBook program is part of the series of programs through which the County Library “Alexandru and Aristia Aman” reaffirms its essential role in supporting education and cultural formation of young people. Through the activities carried out, the Media Library section of the County Library supports cultivating interest for reading, deepens the understanding of literary texts and facilitates connections between classical literature and modern learning tools.
