Training of librarians within the project “Library – active digital learning hub for the Dolj County community”
The “Alexandru and Aristia Aman” County Library launches the training activities for 57 librarians from our institution as well as from public libraries in Dolj, within the project run by Dolj County Council – “Library – active digital learning hub for the Dolj County community”, financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Component 7 – Digital Transformation, Operation D. Digital skills, human capital and Internet use, Investment I17 – Funding schemes for libraries to become digital skills development hubs, Financing contract no. 760227/08.12.2023, Project code – 11.
Training courses will take place during the period 13 – 30 October, at the Aman County Library headquarters, in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online). The courses are delivered by accredited experts and include theoretical and practical modules on:
- using modern digital tools;
- managing online educational platforms;
- digital communication and interaction with the public through electronic means;

- innovative technology-assisted learning methods.
At the end of the training sessions, participants will obtain trainer certifications in the field of digital skills, and will subsequently contribute to the implementation of digital literacy programs dedicated to the general public in Dolj communities.
The project’s main objective is to develop the digital skills of librarians in the public library network of Dolj County and to transform local libraries into community digital learning hubs. Through the implementation of this program, they will become open spaces for training, information and digital support, accessible to all categories of citizens, thus contributing to increasing the degree of digital inclusion in the county.
Through the implementation of the project “Library – active digital learning hub for the Dolj County community”, Dolj County Council and the “Alexandru and Aristia Aman” County Library consolidate the role of the public library network as educational resource centers and digital innovation hubs, open to all citizens. The initiative directly contributes to the national digital transformation objectives and to the development of the skills needed for a modern, connected and inclusive society.
