The „Alexandru and Aristia Aman” County Library, through the Media Library Section and American Corner Craiova, invites art and culture enthusiasts to the book exhibition “American Art”, a documentary journey into one of the most vibrant, diverse, and innovative artistic spaces in the world.
The exhibition is open from November 6 – November 28, 2025 and offers visitors the opportunity to discover essential landmarks of modern and contemporary American art, through a selection of works dedicated to movements, artists, and aesthetic directions that have marked the evolution of visual culture in the United States of America.
Through the exhibited volumes, the public will be able to explore the expressive richness of American art, from the architectural dynamism of Art Deco, to the identity expressions of African American artists, the surrealist avant-garde, the connection between European modernism and the American art scene, as well as the influence of great names on the development of transatlantic aesthetics.
